At 22 years old, I got my diving instructor certification in Mexico. I was so proud when I was hired to teach on the beautiful Mexican island of Cozumel. The sea around the island is a nature reserve. Here the locals taught me and the tourists that it was wiser not to apply sunscreen but to enter the water with a T-shirt with long sleeves to protect the fragile coral from the harmful oils of sunscreen.
During this period I learned that education is the key to learning to interact better with each other and with our earth.
I am now at a stage in my life where I know how to translate these super important lessons into educational programs so that I can tackle and connect at the same time. This has become my way to stay close to my passion: promoting a sustainable and circular world. My work allows me to continue to emphasize the importance of this and to pass on the knowledge I have gained.
Where better to start with this awareness than with our very youngest!
